My ASEAN SUMMIT Hangover
January 15, 2007From January 12-15, 2007, for me is the busiest days of the month for the Cebu government officials because of the greatest job; to be hosting the 22nd ASEAN Summit. Ofcourse there are effects to the Cebuano people. I will tell my experience in this kind of ASEAN Summit.January 12 is a holiday for all the students in Cebu. So, ofcourse, we will be happy, but not so much, because of takehome examinations, assignments and projects, but most of the time is merry-making. Of course I have done my assignments and projects, then after is playing volleyball, badminton, and babysitting my baby sister, but sometimes I choose to read books and tell my mom that it is part of my assignment because sometimes I got tired of baby sitting my sister because she is so bubbly and very naughty, and sometimes I am afraid I could bite her because of hear very cute face and very fat arms. Sometimes I tease her arms "chiorizo" because of some channels in hear arms. It was a very fun and exhausting vacation.January 13 is a very irritating day for me because it was a very traffic day. The cause of the traffic is the arrival of the delegates from different South East countries. There was a very obvious effect to the Cebuano people. There was a scheduled closing of streets, and sidewalk vendors were washed out. There was this project of us in Home Technology, to make a dessert. Then, the ingridients for our dessert needed melon and coconut. Before January 12 we conducted a canvas in Ayala Center Cebu for the ingridients, without knowing that there were occasional closing of streets. So, when January 14 came, there was a very hectic schedule in the closing the streets.I haven't made it to Ayala Center Cebu because of the closing and opening the streets. I decided to go to Fooda to buy the ingridients there. But by the decision of the bad luck there was no any coconut there. So, I decided to go to wet market near J.Y Square Mall thinking that there were coconuts sold there before in sidewalks. But again bad luck decided that there were no coconut sold there. But still I didn't gave up. I went inside J.Y Square Mall and look for coconuts sold, bad luck responsed again, there were no available coconuts there. But still I didn't gave up. For your information, my motto in life is "Quitters never win, Winners never quit", that's why I didn't gave up. Back to the event, instead of coconut I bought papaya in substitute. After a very tiring experience I softly laughed to myself in the jeep because of what I have done for that day.And my short vacation end up exhaustedly. I really slept very early because of tiredness. But anyway, I have colleted a new experience again from my very short life. See you at my next experience!!!
