For all of us, there are hates and dislikes, right? But in the other hand, we also have our own likes and admirations in our life. And normally, it is always experienced by everybody during high school days. And that word is......CRUSHES!!!!! As I passed my elementary years, I have of course experienced the so-called "admiration". But at that time I was still a kid with no "know-how" in life. I am not saying that I am already old, I am only more open-minded and more mature than before ( of course!!).
In my environmrnt in school, I have learned a lot of things about crushes. And of course I don't want to be ignorant about those things so, i began to be curious and began to follow them. And, you know, it was just a kid stuff and childish foolishness. But now, I am already "grown up" and more sensitive to my moves. I then later realized and laughed at myself that what am I doing before was flirting. Duh!!! I really don't want to recall them again.
In our classrooms, there are lots of love teams. They are just for their chemistry and some "KILIG" moments. Some of these are Rosa-Fidel, Ray Mark- Eiza, Maricris-Rieland, Fidel-Daisy, Ray Mark- Bia and Jals- Mark. But those "love teams" don't end up inside Bartlett room but even the other section, Villamor. Some of these are Bia- Andrei, Rosa-Reiner, Eiza- John Elmar, and Raul- Danica. But some really are not contented with they're batch mates, some of them also got crushed, became head over heels, and some are surprisingly got engaged. And the most controversial love team here in U.P Cebu High School in this case is Rhonpete and Jayza. Everybody really got shocked when they knew that Rhonpete and Jayza got engaged. We were really shocked about that news. Aside from Jayza is more good looking than Rhonpete, the most shoking is when we knew that Rhonpete is a third year student!!! We can't really imagine that. They're gap was very far from each other. But I wasn't really that surprised with that news because, look at my mom and dad, their age gap is thirteen years from each other. Imagine, now, my dad is already fifty three years old while my mom is forty. There age gap is thirteen years, imagine that? Love in the first place is really not about age, and I have proven that because of the way my mom and dad managed our family. After all, love relationship should not be called as such if age would matter, it should be "age relationship" ...hehehehehehe, just kidding!!! Seriously, love for me is unexplainable. For me if you can explain love it is not true love but only a wild admiration.
It is just normal for you having a crush but what we should observed is that we should not put our education set aside for we are still on our progressing stage. We can find lots of those when we are already professional. OK DOKI?!

=LOVE=
If we don't have this kind of word in this very miserable world, there would be no peace, there would be no unity, there would be no respect, there would be no family, there would be no home, and there would be no home. This word is the most abused word in the whole wide world. And it is up to you to find it out.
If you say this word you will be able to do whatever you wanted to life personally. When you feel this word, like everybody say that you are like in Cloud Nine. Have guessed it? Yes, it is LOVE!!! if you are to define love, what will be your answer? If I am on your shoes, I would answer you that love is life. Because for instance you will not love your work, what would happen to you ? Your work would be very messy!! Imagine what world would we have if we don't know how to love. Or should I say if you can still imagine.
Love's partner is respect and courage. It is true, if you lave somebody it just means that you respect him or her as what she is. You should show to her that you are sincere of loving him or her. If you don't have the courage to express your feelings to the person you love, then that is not true love. If you love a person, you will have the courage to face all the challenges getting between you. You should show him or her that he or she deserves to e loved and cared.
By the way, if you hear the word LOVE, what comes to your mind? Nowadays, usually, the youth of today's generation is abusing the word LOVE. When they hear the word LOVE, or even I LOVE YOU, they always think of two people, having there intimate moments, like kissing, hugging, tickling, having sweet moments, and etc. But are we really aware of what really the word LOVE means? Or are we just using it without knowing its true meaning? Or even knowing when or where it should be applied? For me, LOVE is everywhere. Love is very wide. Some people are looking for it but they do not realize that it is just around, they only do not know how to cherish and give importance to it. Just like the relationship between you and your teacher, we students are not realizing they do not only serve as a teacher, but also a lover for they love us that is why they are doing this just to make us educated. We should change our view for the meaning of LOVE. Let us learn that Love is not only limited to two persons having there intimate moments and love is not only applied to opposite gender but to anyone as long as he or she has the capacity to love.
Now we have figured out that it was LOVE who is responsible in all the actions in the world. So we must make our move as long as we are still alive, say I LOVE YOU and thank you yo your loved ones and say goodbye always because you'll never know..........

MY VERY OWN SELF!!
Hello everybody!! we have been talking here for some topics ever since I knew how to use my blogger account. But the question is, do you really know me?
My name is Ma. Isabel D. Ambrad. I am 13 years of age. I live at 146 Gorordo Avenue, Camputhaw, Cebu city. My parents are Santiago Ambrad And Teresita Ambrad. My father works as a helper technician and mechanic. My mom is a house wife. I have three siblings, two gals and a one and only boy. I am a first year high school student in the University of the Philippines and my sister stopped on her first year in college with a course of Bachelor of Science in Nursing, my little brother is still in the 3rd grade level in elementary at Lahug Elementary school, while my baby sister is still a one-year-old baby.
I have lots of favorites and hates. First let us talk about my favorites. My favorite colors are pink, blue, purple and black. My favorite foods are all sweet desserts and chocolates. I also love the show “Princess Hours”. My favorite places are water falls, sea and swimming pool. I idolized Judy Ann Santos and Claudine Baretto in the field of acting because of their professionalism. My dear sports are badminton, soft ball and volleyball. I also love looking at flowers. My favorite fruits are avocado, apple, orange, grapes, coconut and melon. My passion is dancing and singing. I am also fun of playing badminton, volleyball and malling during my free times.
Now, let us talk about my hates. I hate the colors magenta and puschia. I also really don't like the show, “ DEAL OR NO DEAL”, because the suspense really bothers my study and also my family keep on shouting, duh?! What i am only after the show is Kris' dress. I also really hate the place “Colon”, because during afternoons, that place is always very very hot!! I always contradict my mom if she commands me to go and buy something there, and another thing is that there are lots of snatchers and pick pocketer. I also hate Glydel Mercado in the field of acting because in her she never knew how to deliver her lines properly and she acts like very unsure. I also hate lanzones and watermelon. I hate lanzones because when I eat it I could always bite its seed which is very bitter!! in contradiction to my passion is writing. I don't know why I really don't like writing. And the greatest hate of mine are C.A.T.S!!!!!
So, I know by this moment, you already know at least a tidbit of information about me. And because of this, my expectations of having longer time with you became stronger. So, see you later!!!

THE LOVE DOCTOR!!
Have you experience giving an advice to a person? How does it feel? Did you feel like an expert? Me, today, I feel to be a love doctor to two persons having their love problems. I really related to their problem.
Of course, all of us have our own crushes right? And it's normal for us high school students. Fidel, a group mate of mine got crush to our classmate Daisy and there's a saying that says, "no secrets are forever to be kept" and as what was expected, it was spread out to the whole class and even to the other section. Of course if you were in Fidel's shoes, you will really be shy to Daisy. Before they are normal friends but when Daisy knew about Fidel's feelings for her, her social commitments with Fidel changed and hated him already. Daisy really don't like Fidel. Ever since Fidel share the truth with someone and spread out, Daisy did not talk to Fidel anymore. She was really affected to what Fidel have feelings for her. But take note Fidel was still not telling that to Daisy so, it means that it was really not sure if that talk was true.
Mr. Elmer Montejo told us to do two love letters. One letter for someone we love and another one to someone you love. I was really first thinking that Fidel would give Daisy a love letter to tell his feelings for her. I really kept him asking if he want to give Daisy a letter for his way of saying his feelings for her, but he always answer me no. But deep inside me I feel that he is going to give her because we got a talk yesterday. I ask him who really is his crush. Then he answered no one. Then I really persuade him to tell me but of course in a gentle way. And it doesn't take me too long to let him tell me the truth because I asked him if he really loved Daisy much. Then he answered me that yes! He told me that he was really serious to her and was head over heels to Daisy. Before she was used to say that he's crush is beautiful and now here he was telling he's secrets to me. he also told me that he gave Daisy a love letter and
I was really "KILIG" to him. He was keep on praying that Daisy will not ignore his letter and you know it is also hard for you especially your love ignores you right? Then today, Sir Elmer gave the letters to the recipients during our P.E time. And Fidel was really nervous at that time when I looked at him. Then , Daisy only expects one letter from Jals but she received two. She was shocked for it was Fidel. Fidel hid to the stage and did not go back to the room until Daisy was not their already. Then Daisy was really problematic about it because he thought that the letter would worsen their conflict. Sher was angry with my other classmates because they first opened the letter. Then I told them to stop and to give it to Daisy. Then she told me to go with her and read it for her because she was afraid for what is written inside then she asked advice from me. Then of course I gave her what I think good for their parts.
Oh, what a day. I felt very concern to the two of them really! I hope there is also someone who will do like that to me.

A LOVE AFFAIR WITH MV DOULOS AND BOOKS
Are you fun of reading books, novels or comics? Before, reading books was really not in my vocabulary. I sometimes read comics, but novels, never mind!!! When I start reading novels, I always end up until the 6th sentence. I can't really stand reading those long novels. Before, my impression of books are just waste of time. Why should I read books, if there are televisions, DVDs, and CDs? But this impression of mine was changed and proven wrong when I once went to an old ship.
Maybe you are wondering what is the connection of reading and a ship. Well, it goes like this. The UP students were invited to visit the world's oldest floating library, the MV Doulos. It was built on year 1914, or only 2 years younger than Titanic! Over 19 million people visit Doulos everyday. There crews came from different countries from east to west. Their staffs were very hospitable and gentle to their visitors. There are over 6000 book titles on board the Doulos. They travel around the world. They have visited over 100 countries since the Doulos was built.
Madame Gallo called jeeps for our transportation service back and forth. When we arrived on the Doulos, we lined up first and told to keep our silence when we are already on the board. When we enter the ship, I was really surprised because there are lots and lots of books, CDs, tapes, DVDs, notebooks and many many more. At first I did not mind the books, my attention was captured by the stationaries, notebooks and book markers which are made by high quality paper. But my curiosity pushed me to go and take a look at the books. My eyes almost fell because of being shocked by the books and its prices! They have the Les Miserables, Book of Magics, Encyclopedias and other references which are sold TRIPLE lower than its price when you buy it in bookstores here in Philippines. At that point, my mind is starting to live books. After roaming around, I felt thirsty and hungry, so I went the coffee department and bought cookies and strawberry juice. After having my snack, we are told to go down the ship. We thought that we are already going back to school, but we went inside the ship again but in another stairs. We are invited to watch their program for their visitors. There are lots of fun like games and lectures. They lectured about our own relationship to God. I really felt their intense faith to God almighty and their aim to help people. In the midst of the lecture, I then realized that I am already in love. I am in love with Doulos and the Doulos people. They have awaken my Christianity. I learned that the need is EVERYWHERE, and so I must help fulfill these needs not only for my nation but also for my world. God is not only a God in Philippines, but a God of the world.
At last I already fell in love for the first time. Doulos is my first love. Because of Doulos, I had awaken from the blinding truth. And Doulos also opened my eyes to the importance of books in our lives.

MY WISH COME TRUE
Before I had chosen my clubs, I first thought about the Stargazers Society Club. I planned to join it because my best friends had already been a member of the club but my mind contradicted, that what if my parents won’t allow me to attend stargazing overnight because of course it is held during nighttime and sleep at the campus for they are very strict. So, I decided not to join it anymore.
Almost three-fourths of the class are members of the club. I have not heard some informations about the club so I was not interested about the club. I also do not know who is the adviser and that time, I still did not meet with Mdm. Gallo because she was still in America for her mother, so I haven't Madame Gallo's attitude. When she arrived, the first time last July, my first impression to her is a very strict teacher. But all of those impressions of mine are entirely inverse to her real personality. Yes, she was strict but only a bit. She acts like a mother to us. She is very caring, accommodating and very concern to our needs. Then a time came that I was informed that Madame Gallo was the adviser of the Stargazers Society Club. I was really shocked about that news. Then I asked my best friends if I could still join the club. But unfortunately, I could not anymore. I really blamed myself for my very idiot decision of not joining the club. Then i when I went home, I asked my parents what if I joined the club and there are overnight meetings, would they allow me. They answered a bi g YES!! They said that if attending those overnights are required of being a member of it, they would definitely allow me. Because of what they said, I really felt more sad because of losing the opportunity of being a member of the club. Then one day came that Madame Gallo called a meeting to all Stargazers Society Club members for an important thing to discuss. Every member of the club really became very curious about the topic. They are keep on guessing it. When the meeting came to order, the campus remained silent for only few student are non stargazers. Because all of the members are all in the GenSci Lab. Then after a while, the non stargazers are “deafen” because of the impact of the sudden shout of the stargazers. I wondered why they shouted. After their meeting, I asked my best friends why they shouted a while ago. Then she answered that it is because they are told by Madame Gallo that they will have their first overnight on the following week. I was really jealous with them. They are talking about their feelings about it, some are prayful so that their parents would allow them to go, some are just relax, and some are thankful for they are already allowed.
Because of that jealousy of mine I wished to God to let Madame Gallo decide a new overnight which is open for non stargazers. And God is really good!!! Last February 7, Madame Gallo announced that there would be an overnight which is open to all first year non stargazers.
And the silliest thing that we have done with my best friends, is when we slept 3:00 a.m just because of eating noodles and running.
At last, I have experienced being in an overnight. I wish there would be more like that!!!

REFLECTIONS ON TEACHING ( MY TEACHING EXPERIENNCES)
REFLECTIONS ON TEACHING (MY TEACHING EXPERIENCES)
On the first day of the Know Your School day, I was informed that I am qualified to be a Science A teacher. Today is the second day of the event, some of the hired teachers are already required to teach but not me. My schedule for teaching is still tomorrow, on Friday, because our class schedule for Science A is during Wednesdays and Fridays. Today is also the giving of the giving of the official teaching I.D and we went up stage to get it one by one. I really don’t like in going up stage because of one very assuming person who assumes that I am head over heels for him which is a big lie! He is very irritating! Even when I pass through the Hometech room, he really feels very handsome, very proud and very assuming! I really hate him! But before my nerves burst out here, let us go back to the event. I haven’t received a teaching I.D for P.E because I applied to Ms. Maquilan late. And because of such reason, I will also not receive a certificate of participation for Physical Education. But I am not after any certificates or any award, what I am up to is experience. No matter how many awards they receive, if there is no experience, all of those are nothing. All I wanted is experience in teaching and applying. Back to the event, after we are given the I.D's, we went back to our room. Because of the opening ceremony for the KYSD, the classes were shortened.
When I went home, I immediately studied my lessons to teach tomorrow. Of course I should prepare myself for tomorrow’s great obligation. I don’t want to be on shame for tomorrow and most of all, I don’t want to be laughed by my “students”. While studying, I mixed it with some actions of a teacher, like walking in the platform. Then I slept early because my schedule for teaching is in the first period. I should not be late for I am not only a teacher but also a role model to my students.
When I arrived in the school, I already get my visual aids, my copy, and of course myself ready. Before the bell rang, I only sat down on my chair and look straight to the board and felt extreme nervousness. When the bell rang I already felt calm and relax, because I felt the same way I felt during the interview. What ever would happen I would not blame myself for I have done my very best. When it was my turn to teach, I felt confident and acted like a real teacher. I discussed my lessons clearly so that my students could understand it. After discussing, I gave a short quiz about the topic just to test them if they listened and understood what I have taught and immediately checked it.
After our period, Madame Gallo told us that we have done a very good job. I told myself that I have again collected another fruit of experience from my tree of hard work.

WHAT DO THE HEAVENLY BODIES TELL ME ABOUT LIFE?
WHAT DO THE HEAVENLY BODIES TELL ME ABOUT LIFE?
When we hear the words “heavenly bodies”, we always think about the moon, the stars, sun planet, galaxy, etc. We are very good in familiarizing it, knowing their functions, purposes or how does they work. Why don't we stop and think for a minute. Have we really realize how they really affect us? Or what are the things that heavenly bodies tell us about our own lives? Everyday we can see the sun shines us, the clouds smiling us, the glowing moon welcome us, the stars are twinkling around us. It is so great to imagine how these things put us in peace and give us secret happiness inside even for a short moment of our lives.
The sun shines in us everyday. It gives life to the living things around us. Just like the sun, my family gives shine to my whole existence. They give me life. They are very important for me. Having a complete and happy family is just like the sun which shines on me everyday. Take a look at the clouds and the sky. Sometimes, I cant deny that every time I watch the blue sky and different forms of clouds, it always makes me wear a smile in my face. The very peaceful sky could melt my problems, it makes me peaceful, emotional, and spiritual. The different forms of the clouds, wow.... I always feel going back to a child, who enjoys watching the movements and and shapes of the clouds. At night, every time go outside during night, the moon always welcomes me. I consider it as one of the factor that may greatly affects my mood of the day. From the busy and hustle word in school, my mind is always set as I am very tired of the long long day. I am very hot tempered and easily get irritated. But as soon as I watch the moon especially during full moons, it makes me feel relax and at ease. I feel that the moon smiles on me and saying, “ don't be sad everything would be fine”. Wow ....it really makes me feel that I am okay and should move on for the next day to come. On the other hand, moon makes me sad also. I don't know why. But it is exactly what I feel. Somehow, it would always be the best. Do you see diamonds spread throughout the the night sky? Yes, stars are like diamonds in the sky. It convey lots of meaning. It makes you feel great that life is so great and glamorous. When there are lots of stars at night, I feel that I don't want to go inside anymore and watch them until the twilight comes. It is very romantic to observe them. It is very peaceful, can bring a smile and a roller coaster of fantasy to your mind. But when stars will not come at night, it would always be so sad. “ Diamonds are hiding”. Just like in our own personal lives, we don't really feel that we are happy at all times. Bad times always come. But no matter would happen, the most important thing is that we know how to face those bad times and is ready to move on and shine for the other days to come.
Our life is like a planet. It revolves and revolves. Sometimes we are up and sometimes we are down. Our life won't be complete if we can only experience happiness in our lives. Through thick and thin, we should stand firm and should know our ways and directions in life. When obstacles and hindrances come, don't give up, it is just a challenge to overcome.

Reflections on Teachers and Teaching ( APPLICATION DAY)
Reflections on Teachers and Teaching
Have you experienced teaching? How does it feel? Did you feel nervous? Did you feel happy? For me, the partner of learning is teaching. My motto is to “learn, teach and lead with Jesus”. The quote says that if you learn you should know how to lead and teach. For me the purpose of learning is to share your knowledge after obtaining it and learn to give some of your overflowing blessings.
The “Know Your School Day” is a three-day event which involve the students in U.P high to be part of the high school staff, like a subject teacher. Some of the teachers conducted interviews to students who would like to apply on their subject matter. Each student is only allowed to apply two positions. But before you can teach, you should have an official teaching I.D which will be given by the Student Council members. Then at the end of the event, the hired teachers would be given certificates of participation.
In our Know Your School Day, I applied three subjects. I applied in Madam Gallo's subject matters, the Science A and Science C, and another subject handled by Ms. Jo Ann Maquilan, the Physical Education. At first, I decided to apply Physical Education and as a high school secretary like Madam Noreen's job. But when I inquired To Madam Noreen, she said that she had already hired four applicants. So, I switched my mind to Science A, Science C and Physical Education. But before I could be a Science A or Science C teacher, I should first pass through an interview. Madam Gallo conducted an interview for for Science A and Science C applicants. When it was my turn to be interviewed, on the moment that I opened the door of the office, I really felt extreme tense, I am afraid that I cannot answer the questions well. But when I sat down the chair, I already felt confident because in my mind is no matter what happen, I will not blame myself for I have done my very best. Madam Gallo asked various kinds of questions about my teaching skills. When I answered the questioned, I answered them confidently, surely and straight to the point so that it would sound very perfect. During my interview, I noticed that every answer I give, Madam Gallo always gives supporting details about my answer. Then after my interview, Madam Gallo informed me that the results will be given on the following day before lunchtime.
The following day, the results were given by Madam Nuñez during our Math time. At that time, Madam Nuñez was in a hurry because she still had a meeting to attend at that time. Because of that reason, she delivered it hurriedly and without suspense that's why the hired teachers where traumatized and shocked about the results. And the thing that really struck me is that when I heard my name read by Madam Nuñez. I was really shocked about it. I was qualified to be a teacher of Science A subject. Then the note said that Madam Gallo would let us go to the faculty room to have our orientation of what we are going to discuss on class. So, that afternoon we went to the faculty for our orientation. Madam Gallo just let us decide what topic do we want on her chosen topics. I chose Chapter 20 because it sounds very simple but interesting and not hard for me to explain to my student about that topic. The containing topic of the chapter is about the food and energy pyramid and the different ecological relationships between participating organisms in a biotic community. I thought that it is more simpler than that of the Chapter 19 has which are about cells, I thought that the topic about cells are very complex and complicated.
This entry is about my experience in the first day of the Know Your School Day in our school which is the application day too.

TEENAGE LIFE
TEENAGE LIFE
Teenage life is the most exciting , confusing, and difficult stage of our lives. It is the time we can do crazy things. Why not? Looking around with handsome boys? Mmm....very familliar. Yes , the "crushes" as what they said. Girls are more conscious on their physical looks. Their hair, skin, face, clothes to wear, body smell and even the way they handle themselves. While the boys are starting to act like a man, starting to court with their girl crushes and moreover, very much conscious also with their looks especeially with their hair! Yes and hair gel has big role for them.
As we can see nowadays, teenagers are more updated in th new world. The high-tech gadfets like computer games, and internet surfing, cellphones , i-pod, etc. Even in fashion trends, the accessories, the fleshy and ozy kinds of clothes. But are we really aware how the new generation acts and manage our lives? How will it affect our society? The modern technology, obviously, it acts a big role in teensgers' lives. For instance the cellphone. They skip their meals and snacks just to save money to buy a cellphone load. The computer games and the internet surfing it has the same problem as the cellphone. They will try their best just to sabe money and go to the internrt cafe and spend for a couple of hours or even more just to play and surf. Sometimes they will forget to do their assignments or studytheir lessons because of the preoccupied things they do before hand. Another thing is the pornographic materials. Because of the modern technology it is very possible to scatter those things to everybody, but sad to say the teenagers are more affected. In which, they will be curious enough and even try to do such things and probably result to premarital sex, which is one of the most tackled probleminthe youth today. Today's youth is more liberated than ever. Maybe because of the greater influence around them. They will take more on their present happiness, but how about their future? We alll know that the youth is the future of our country, but what happen? Can we blame them? If we listento their voices, they will always point out the society and the government. They are more open aware on waht is happening around them. Me, personally believe that the future of every individuals does not rely on the government itself. It should be started in our ownselves. Our determination, perseverance and goal is the most important. And most of all is our family. I do believe that our home is the starting pointof all individuals. It is where we develop our atittudes and values. It depends also on how each parent discipline their own children.Modern technology around is a normal way of living in today's generation. But the parents should be the center of the living of every teenagers. Parents has the greatest role in affecting their teenage children. They should set as a role model and kep on molding their chidren's personality. They will spend more time in school than at home, it is their second home, best education would be a much betterto influence the teenager's life. Teachers should also keep on educating their students about advantages and disadvantages of being a teenager, the conseqeunces of their actions. It is important also to let them knowhow important their future is.
It is not bad to be a teenager, but instead, one should enjoy being on that stage. It is once in a lifetime experience. What's important is that teenagers should be responsible enough on their actions. They should be aware on the advantages and disadvantages on their way of of handling every decision in life.

MY CLUB EXPERIENCES
My Club Experienced
At the first day of the school year we are told that we can join any club for our talents' and skills' development. But these is a limitation of two clubs. Before I wonder why, but later I realized that if we join more clubs there will be conflicts in our schedules, and some clubs have rules like, 5 lates; out of the club, 3 absences; out of the club. Another limitation is that we can only join 1 performing club and 1 non performing club. All I can do is follow the instructions. Do I have a choice?
At the first day in school there held a meeting/ orientation for the parents to know the policies in the school. They are oriented of how the grades are computed, curfews, late arrivals, tardiness, absences, clubs and medical assistance. In the midst of the program, their came an intermission no. leaded by the 4th years. I was really amazed with the effects of the no. The background music, the rainstick, the drums, the lights, different colors of light being a product of their creativity, that was really AMAZING!!! Then I became curious for what is the name of that dance company. But it seems nbody knows. Then when we came back to the room, Maa'm Rabago assisted us, the I asked what is the name for that group. After asking, she answered me and tell more about it. She said that it was UPSTAGE who performed in the orientation and surprisingly she's the adviser of the said club, She told more backgrounds of UPSTAGE before and some awards. She also encouraged us to join the club. Then UPSTAGE became one of my choices for performing club. I am fun of dancing ans UPSTAGE involves dancing. But i was in a doubt UPSTAGE and UP Dance Troupe. IT is because both clubs involves dancing. But later, i had decided to go to UPSTAGE because, I was informed by Maa'm Rabago that IPSTAGE involves all talents and skills. Then I realized that if I'll go to UP Dance Troupe, I can learn dancing for my whole life but if I choose UPSTAGE it is already all in one with, dancing, singing, acting, writing and many other more. But before being a memebr of the club, you should pass the audition. And fortunately, i passed. Then I became an official member of it. There were lots of presentation UPSTAGE performed last year. And I am very happy with my co-member.
But the sadest thing in my UPSTAGE life during first year is when we didn't have our acquaintance party because of business. But Kuya Lorem, our president said that never mind we will have a double celebration during our christmas party. And because of that words, we didn't lose hope for having an acquiantance party. But when the christmas week came, I asked him when will be our party, but he answered that we can't have the Christmas party on Dec. and will be re scheduled on the sixth of January. But I contradicted and said if it is still a “Christmas” party . But whenever I said is just nothing and ofcourse I can't do anything just to folloe the president. And when Jan. 4, 2007, I asked Kuya Lorem if the belated is sure, and he answered no, because of no budget, there will be no party anymore.
Even though there's no party, I will still be happy because of having a very nice friends and the best club. See you in my entry. Thanks for reading!

MY BELOVED TEACHERS
My Beloved Teachers
In my elementary years, i met a lot of teachers on different ways of teaching and different traits. That's my elementary years, but now, being a first year high school student, for 9 months, I have also met teachers in different ways of teaching and different traits.
Mdm. Erlinda Gallo, the adviser of I- Barttlett. She is my most favorite teacher here in U.P. High. She is really like my mother, a very practical person and thinks and cares for other's feelings. She is also very accomodating and very concern to us. She acts as it she is our mother, teaching us not only science, but also good manners, proper behavior, discipline and self-esteem. She is also a jamming mommy. And her famous line is, “I'll inspect your rows”.
Mdm. Louella Manlunas, she is our former english teacher. At first we called her “ms.” but she corrected us to be “Madamme”, I really thought that she was still single. She is my second favorite teacher because she always give us games which is very fun and related to our lesson. In her class we are learning at the same time having fun.
Mdm. Ligaya Rabago, our Reading teacher, she is inverse with Mdm. Manlunas in the way of calling her name. She wanted to be called “Ms.” instead of Mdm. She is an ethnic, child-lover and a theather lady. She is cery conservative. She also really loves children because she doesn't have a kid.
Mr. Daniel bellas, our Home Technology teacher. He is very comparable with a turtle because of his slow movement. Not only when he walks but also when he talks, he seems very drowsy. But behind those turtlish background, he is a joker mentor and always making fun of us.
Ms. Jo Maquilan, our P.E. Girls and Health teacher. She is more of a modern teacher. She is very jamming. She is fun of saying slang words. She also make fun of “loveteams” in our room.
Mdm. Montano, our Filipino teacher, She is sometimes could easily lose her temper, but sometimes she is also very friendly. She lets us laugh always when she makes fun of Filpino words. She also cooperated in our cheerdance competition. She sacrificed her for our practices.
Mr. Elmer Montejo, our new English teacher. He is so bubbly and joker. He is a high technology guy. And I just noticed that he is fun saying “ambisyosa”.
Mdm. Kerr, our computer teacher. She easily get mad when we are very noisy especially inside the Leader.net in making our projects or having a lecture. But she is also nice to us. And I love her daughter Mia because she's so cute.
In our home we are respecting our mothers as how they should to be, because we owe them our lives. In school we are also on another family, in different environment, in different attitudes but in one goal. This goal could be reach by the help of our parents and our second parents; our teachers.

MY FAMILY ( MY PARENTS' LOVE LIFE)
My Family ( Parent's love life)
Before, my father had a live in partner before my mom. Her name is Bernadette. My father and that girl is on the same age. But she seems to have problems to her reproductive system,She supposed to have 6 children, but all those pregnancies failed. One time came that she is pregnant again. That was the biggest miracle happen for my dad at that time when her pregnancy lasted for 9 months. She gave birth to a baby girl normally. That baby is my half older sister. 3 years later, Bernadette decided to go to Guam to have a work, to support her family. But my father contradicted her, but she did not listen. My father did not have any choice. He processed all the papers of Bernadette spent a lot for it. And time came that Bernadette went to Guam, but the thing that was my father really is concern is their communication. Bernadette did not contact my father for a year. Then a time came when Bernadette contact my father. My father was really happy at first but when he heard the message of Bernadette, his world broken down. She said that she had already a family there in Guam. And that ens their story. My father decided to look for some other who deserves his love and care.
My mother and father's age gap is 13 years. My mom is still studying high school then my father is working as a security guard in RCBC. Their first meeting is in a park. It is their eyeball, because they are phone pals. My father fell in love with my mother at first sight. She did not stop courting my mother. But my mother at that time was not in love with him, juts treat him as a friend. But my father kept on courting her and caused my mother to stay away from my father. But my father is really in love with my mom. He follows her anywhere my mom goes. And when my mom was irritated, but deep inside in love with my father inspite of his age and child, she answered my father yes and became lovers. Then after 3 years, they got married. And one year after my mom gave birth to me on Aug. 7,1997. Before we used to live in Quiot, Pardo when I was 3 years old the after a year, we transfer residence in Mabolo, North Reclamation Area. There I met and encounter a very different kind of environment. The houses are very close to each other then the children are very dirty. And their my baby brother was born. I also took my first schooling at Mabolo Elementary School. I only attained Grade 1 there. Then, we transfer again to Manila. I really adjusted a lot there not only to my neighbors but also my classmates because I had my grade 2 there. Then, we transferred again here in Lahug. And finally I had finished my elementary here. And hopefully my high school education.

MY FAMILY ( MY MOM'S LIFE)
MY FAMILY ( MY MOM'S LIFE)
My family is composed of six members. They are my mom, dad, big sister, me, my brother and my baby sister. Everybody in our home does a certain job. Sometimes improper doing of our job and laziness makes a very big quarell in our home. And of course my mom is always involved. And of course in terms of love life my parents did not maarry right away. They first passed the level of courtship. But before all of those let's know first my parents.
Before my mom, Teresita Dela Cruz Ambrad, used to live in Negros Oriental in Bayawan City.Their family is an under middle class family. Her mother is a battered wife, because his father is a hard drinker. His day won't be complete without drinking one case of beer or gin. When his father goes home and there is no food to eat, he slaps and beat her wife immidiately, over and over again. Back to my mom, when she finnished her grade six, his father told her that grade six is enough for a child. But my mother wanted to finnish even highschool only. There was an offer to my mom before from a neighbor who took pity to her a free education but his father contradicted and didn't let my mom get the offer because of his pride. So, tobe able to attain her education, she decided to go to Manila and went to her Aunt Tita. She worked there and earn money for her education. But the biggest nightmare in her life in Manila is when her another aunt, Aunt Thalina, a very selfish and and feeling rich aunt, didn't gave the letter for my mom from her family in Negros which stated that her mother died 2 months ago. And you know what did her aunt said?, " Whyif I a have given this to you earlier could you make her alive again?". My mom was extremely sad and extremely mad with her aunt. After resding, the letter, she immidiately decided to go back to Negros to see her mother in the cemetery. When she got there, her father immidiately asked for money to buy a fisherman's net which costed very expensive, my mom do not have a choice but to give. My mom asked her father what is the cause of the death of her mother, and her fether answered that it is because of kidney trouble. My mom stayed there for a month. Then, she went back again to Manila to vontinue her work there. My mom worked in a nurse's house as a helper. Then that nurse transfer residence here in Cebu. She finnished highschool in Colegio dela Inmaculada Concepcion Night Highschool. She woeked during daytime and studie during night. Then he met my father.
This entry is still an introduction about my family. On my next entry would be the rest of my family.

OUR INTRAMURALS
I am still a first year student. So, I must adjust to my environment and of course to my school's events. And one of this is our Intramural Week. Intramural is the sports week or week of sports competition. I really have fun in our Intramural.
Last year, we had done our Intramural successfully. I joined only one sport competition. It is softball. During our first game, our first opponent are the third years. We really are nervous, because of they already have experience and we are just first years. But being the captain ball of the team, I advised them to try their best and just to enjoy the game just to retrench their nervousness. And I only felt calm at that time. During our game I really felt very disarrayed because it is so hot and sometimes I wonder why my eyes are very hot, I found out that it is because of my sweat getting in my eyes, it really hurts. And after the game we lost and of course we are sad about it and no shocked by the verdict. But aside from that sadness, I also had another cause why I am sad, it is because of my skin, it became over tanned. It is because of my position in the game as a catcher facing the heat of the sun, I really felt burning. After the game, I went o he sink to wash my face just to cool it up, but it seemed ineffective. Then my friends came and scolded me because of washing my face without cooling it first. They said that it may cause blinding of my eyes. And I told them that I didn't know that it is no good for my eyes. Then I took a shot nap just to rest my body for a while. And when I woke up I immediately went to our booth and worked as a catcher. We earned a lot from that booth. But after the Intramurals, the class was shocked because half of the money was lost. The money keepers points to each other to who held the money. And still we didn't find it.
I also joined he cheer dance competetion. We won third place. A least we ranked higher than the second years. And of course behind of those success, are sweat and sacrifices of practices. There is no day without a practice.Madame Gallo is also very concern to to our cheer dance competition. She wanted us to prove to ourselves that not because that we are still first year students we can't beat the higher years. She kept on telling that to us. And during our practices, she is the first person inthe practicing venue. She is really the most favorite teacher in the class. Of course, during our cheer dance practice, you can't stay away from scolds. Of course, Madamme Gallo will get mad beause of some reasons, someimes some studens were scolded because of laziness, not cooperating, naughty, noisy, clumsy and many other more. But at the end you will see that all those scolds are just for our own sake.
Many say that the happiest stage in your education life is your hihschool life, and my happiest even is my intramural. See you in my next entry!!

DREAM ON!!
All of us have dreams. Dreams which are sometimes impossible, dreams which are sometimes could hurt someone and dreams, which are sometimes ultimately uncomparable. I have lots of dreams. Dreams for our country, dreams for my family, and of course dreams for my future.
Before I dreamt to be a pilot at the age of seven. I got that idea when I promised to myself that I would let my parents tour around the world. It is because i pity my paarents for their very miserable life before. Both of them were raised by poor parents. They had made a lot of sacrifices and sufferings of their lives just to be educated. Both of them are working students, working during day, studying during night. One day I ask them years ago, what are their dreams in the future and their dreams for us, and and one of their answers is to travel around the world. And that is howI am inspired to be a pilot before, but that dream was filled with fear when I was 8 years old, because of the plane crashes which aired out during that year. I told myself that maybe before I could tour around the world, I am already dead. Hehehe! So, I just switched my plan to be a nurse form 9 until 10 years old. I thought that if i would be a nurse, I could take care for my family especially for my parents when they got older. I could cure their illnesses and give them tips how sty fit and healthy. And one reason is that nurses are indemand abroad, it doesn't mean that I am going to forget my country, I would still help my fellowmen when I got rich. But on the following year, I change my mind again and with the influence of my father. It because my father before dreamt to be a lawyer but because of his very complicated and and hard situation before he haven't reached that goal. So, I thought that if I would be a lawyer, he will be happy and proud for me. so, I decided o be a lawyer in the future.
But I think I wanted to bee member of a company and work on an office or even own one. I don't know what pushes me in that proffesion, but what I only know is that I like it.
Few weeks ago my father gave me anther proffesion again that is indemand abroad. It is teaching. He said that teachers is really needed abroad because only few people take that profession and besides if you got old you can still work as such. And if you retire at the right time, you would get high pensions from the government.
There is one thing that I have learned from all my dreams, the job you should take is the practical one nowadays, beacause of difficulty in seeking job that could sustain you for the rst of your life. By now I am still in a doubt for what job I should get in order to build up a strong future.
Dreamingis the cheapest thing on Earth which you don't have to pay and satisfies your desires. But sometimes too much of it is bad! Thankyou for reading!

MY MIDTERM EXAMS
January 17, 2007
This is the first day of our three-day midterm exam. Oh my God! The greatest challenge on me this day is that the most challenging subjects for me is on the same day! I don not know how to manage my studying in this situation.
The day before the exams, I really felt out of our house. It is because I felt I am inside the Science book and imagining all what I have read in Science and Math books, especially Math. I felt that I am inside a certain place and full of num bers.
The day has come! It is our midterm exams day. In the first hour in the morning in the school, I was really in panic in studying my first test. But I could not really concentrate in studying because of my classmates discussing the Korean dramas in ABS-CBN especially “Princess Hours”. Of course the idol of many teenagers nowadays are Kim Chui and Gerald Anderson in their soap opera “Sana Maulit Muli”. There talk was very tempting to be listened because of missing those last night. I can’t really help myself in listening such talks. What I had done is I studied fastly but of course, accurately. Then I joined their talks and some sort of chit chat about our classmates’ crushes and boyfriends.
I will be honest, sometimes we can’t help ourselves expressing our impressions of a person, or in short backbiting. I can’t really help myself getting in touch of those things. Of course as a person I should express my feelings through different ways. And for me the best to express it to other people, people who understand you and your personality. Just like a group of best friends, Jayza, Kevin and Jea. The three of those are friends, but backbiting each other, and does not know that they are backbited by each other, and still friends. It just seems that nothing happened. They are still in their normal friendship life. Hayy!! That is really life.
Back to our midterm, the bell will be rang t 8:00 a.m so, I still have an extension of 30 minutes for studying my second exam. When the bell rang, I was not shocked for the arrival of the second year students in our room because it is our usual job during exams, to exchange homerooms to avoid cheating in the exams. Our proctor told us to keep away our bags and other things like notes and books.
When the exams started, first I got my very effective weapon during exams…PRAYER of course when I received the testpaper I said, “This is it!”, just to remind that this is already a Periodical Test, so I must struggle for my grades. In the midst of the questions, I found the first subject easy, but still I forgot few things, but most of it I assured right. That’s why in the next exam I felt more confident in answering the questions.
So, that is my midterm exams day experience. Thank you for viewing my blog! See you on my next entry!

VIVA PIT SENYOR!!!!
VIVA PIT SENYOR!!!! Viva Pit Senior!!! Tomorrow is the feast of Senior Santo Niño! I have ideas gathered today. All what I saw are very colorful and very festive things. Today, I will tell you pre-sinulog experienced.Celebrating Sinulog is an annual tradition for us Cebuanos, as a tribute to Sr. Sto. Niño. There were lots of stories about the original Sto. Niño Image. I get curious about it, so I asked my father about it. I ask him about how the original image came here. The story goes like this, before, when the Spaniards came to Cebu, after sometime the Spaniards and the datu got a row. The Spaniards burned the house of the datu and inside it is the image of the Sto. Niño. After burning the house, all you can see are dust parcticles made by the fire done by the burning house. But the important question, What happened to the image? The people who survived the war were really amazed of what they saw, the most mysterious thing, the image was not harmed or even touched from its shelf, it just stood up from where he used to be!!! Isn't it very miraculous?Have you noticed that there are different kinds of images of Sto. Niño? Some are holding a cross, some are holding the earth, some are black, some are white and some many more. And again I became curious about the looks of Sto. Niño. So, I asked my dad again about such matter and where is it. He answered me that the real image was not the one placed at the front of the Sto. Niño parish, he told me that the real one was really kept on a very secure and secret place, so that no one could steal it. Truly, it is really something to be take good care of. It is the most important thing that we should keep of, not only externally but most all the internal aspect.January 21, 2007, I know, everybody are all excited on this day. Why not? It is the highlight of the Sinulog Festival!!! It is the grand mardigras!!! Oh yeah!and I should admit that even myself was very excited to witness the grand celebration. Before hand, I asked my parents to allow us to watch the parade at first, they were kinda hesitant to permit us. They just want us to watched the whole coverage in the television and beside, it was very very hot. But at the end, our convincing power still won. My sister and I really enjoyed the festival!!! Yeah true! well, it was very tiring yet it was very fun!!! Can you imagine walking from Mango Avenue to Fuente Osmeña rotunda, then back again. We did back and forth.Hehehe. Well, on that time..our mind was set on the crowd, the street dancing, the attractive and unique costumes and ofcourse the local artist who joined the parade, like Pedro Penduko- Matt Evans, Melanie Marquez and Angel Locsin. We never think that walking back and forth on that long kilometers was very very tiring. What's important for us, is that we enjoyed the parade. It's so overwhelming that everybody gave importance on the said festival. Everybody cooperates, you can see them dancing with the beat, screaming and yelling, singing, taking pictures..wow..how great it is.Not only cebuanos but also plenty of foreigners enjoyed the events. It only shows that Sinulog Festival is the best festival in the whole country. And we should be proud to be a Cebuano.
MY ASEAN SUMMIT HANGOVER
My ASEAN SUMMIT Hangover
January 15, 2007From January 12-15, 2007, for me is the busiest days of the month for the Cebu government officials because of the greatest job; to be hosting the 22nd ASEAN Summit. Ofcourse there are effects to the Cebuano people. I will tell my experience in this kind of ASEAN Summit.January 12 is a holiday for all the students in Cebu. So, ofcourse, we will be happy, but not so much, because of takehome examinations, assignments and projects, but most of the time is merry-making. Of course I have done my assignments and projects, then after is playing volleyball, badminton, and babysitting my baby sister, but sometimes I choose to read books and tell my mom that it is part of my assignment because sometimes I got tired of baby sitting my sister because she is so bubbly and very naughty, and sometimes I am afraid I could bite her because of hear very cute face and very fat arms. Sometimes I tease her arms "chiorizo" because of some channels in hear arms. It was a very fun and exhausting vacation.January 13 is a very irritating day for me because it was a very traffic day. The cause of the traffic is the arrival of the delegates from different South East countries. There was a very obvious effect to the Cebuano people. There was a scheduled closing of streets, and sidewalk vendors were washed out. There was this project of us in Home Technology, to make a dessert. Then, the ingridients for our dessert needed melon and coconut. Before January 12 we conducted a canvas in Ayala Center Cebu for the ingridients, without knowing that there were occasional closing of streets. So, when January 14 came, there was a very hectic schedule in the closing the streets.I haven't made it to Ayala Center Cebu because of the closing and opening the streets. I decided to go to Fooda to buy the ingridients there. But by the decision of the bad luck there was no any coconut there. So, I decided to go to wet market near J.Y Square Mall thinking that there were coconuts sold there before in sidewalks. But again bad luck decided that there were no coconut sold there. But still I didn't gave up. I went inside J.Y Square Mall and look for coconuts sold, bad luck responsed again, there were no available coconuts there. But still I didn't gave up. For your information, my motto in life is "Quitters never win, Winners never quit", that's why I didn't gave up. Back to the event, instead of coconut I bought papaya in substitute. After a very tiring experience I softly laughed to myself in the jeep because of what I have done for that day.And my short vacation end up exhaustedly. I really slept very early because of tiredness. But anyway, I have colleted a new experience again from my very short life. See you at my next experience!!!
