ABORTION

Abortion is the most controversial issue between mewdical science and the catholic community. Abortion is a scientific premature expulsion of a fetus so that it won't live. But if you will bv aprent could you make this action to your child?

Here in the Philippines, the population are boosting so fast. And this very fast increase od the country is quite a problem for those family who are on the under middle class state for they have no enough budget to sustain their big family's needs and in fact it could harm the health of the mother if she experience this frequent pregnancy. Do what the medical science had done is to make a method of expelling a fetus for a solution for unwanted pregnancies---ABORTION. But of course the catholic church objected for this method because they stated that it is one way of killing lives, not just lives but INNOCENT lives.

For my opinion, abortion is really very inappropriate in having this as a solution for the rapid growth of population here in our country. Do we really have to kill these innocent lives? Is it their fault to have them formed and given the chance to experience the wellness of the world? A very big NO!!!! it is their parents' fault. Because of not having family planning and parenthood seminars. And what is that “unwanted” pregnancies? How are they formed without wanting it? Duh!?! Why not say that it is because of very curious minds and very playful actions which are sometimes resulting to early marriage and pregnancies.

What I can only say is that do not include lives of innocents in your silly mistakes!!!!

YOUR CHOICE

You were born into this world with specific physical and mental traits. You inherited this from your parents and ancestors. From the moment you were born, however you have lived of an environment of things and people. You begin to learn from this environment and inherited qualities are shaped by everything and everybody around you. You become a person you are physically and mentally through the effects of your heredity and environment.
But there is a third force that influence your life. The is yourself, the choices you make as you live each day,and the lifestyle that you develop through the choices you choose the kind of person you want to be. If you want to be physically strong, that is your choice. If you want to be happy and comfortable in your life it is also your choice. You develop your lifestyles through these choices. You can even change some of these effects of environment on your childhood. If you learn to direct your life skillfully now in areas where you are free to make choices you are ready undertake your preparation in life.

There are some limits set by heredity and environment. People are tall, short fat thin, fair or dark in complexion. Some may even have born with defects. Some are born in poverty, others are in wealth and ease. Any person, however is free to decide if he would eat three meals a day or have just casual bites of junk foods and soft drinks. He can choose sleeping eight hours a day or staying all night with his friends. He can choose to people he can work worthwhile projects or those with whom he can idle up his time. He can spend his time min good healthy sports or in drinking with friends. He makes all the choices.

The consequences of the life style that you have chosen is either to your liking or not. If you want to participate in healthy living throughout your life, you make this choice now. You start observing this rules that you learn and avoiding practices that damage your health. You stop going with people whose own habits do not promote their physical or mental health. It is all the matter of making choices that will assure you from keeping healthy in mind and body. It is all what matter of valuing yourself and acting on this value.

HOW IS YOUR FAITH GUYZ?!

Everyone of us knows the experience of suddenly seeing something with which he is familiar in a new way. It can be somethin as familiar as sunrise, sunset, an old friend, or some truth about himself. All that he says with these isthat,"it is like seeing them for the frist time." these are only a small part o the surprises that fill a growing life. Experiences that speak about teh other aspects of maninthe world that exist but which cannot be seen. Man's religious faith is one that is sometimes like this. It is seldom held up to the light of examination.
We meet God in all our experiences and close to Him when we speak to Him in prayer: to tell Him we adore Him, thank Him, seek His foregiveness and ask for His blessings.
We participate in public worship in the churches, chapels, or mosquesof our faithfor a deeper understanding of what we believe and to express publicly what is so importan to us, our faith.
We see God in all our experiences. We have seenhow God wroks and how He continously ccreate the world. We see God adn His wroks in ourselves and in the things around us- tree, flowers, plants, animals, people. We enjoy our lives because of God's love for us.
Many times during the day when we meet with unusual events, stress, conflict, joy or success we naturally lift our hearts to the Almighty Being. We ask, we plead, we cry , we thank, we rejoice with Him. Perhaps in words or even in silence we build a brisge that takes us someone who who we believe, cares and understands. In Him we place our trust and inhim we find safety. No matter how badly things go, we belivwe that everything will be alright.
In return, how can we share in God's love for us?

VALUING YOUR FAMILY

No person was born in a sea of humanity. Everyone is born in a family. From birth, a person has his position in the family and a relationship with other family members. A person is a son or daughter to her parents, and a brother or a sister to her siblings. Every position or relationship bears a certain expectations of how that person should behave. This means that everyone has a role in the family.
Our first friends are our parents. From the start of our lives, there begins a very close relationship between us and our parents.
Usually, our parents' love remains in spite of misdeeds and ungratefulness. Our friendship with our parents is the first genuine friendship that all of us experience.
Our parents are our best friends. From them we learn how to face our first problems. From them we get the most of our ideas, habits, attitudes, and emotional reactions. Surely, they have help us learn to conquer our weakness, nourish our strengths and cope up with our needs. Sometimes we wold surely have uttered with fondness,”my dear, dear parents!.”
Living in a family means relating and interacting with its different members. This interaction makes us learn the way of thinking and patterns of behaving of, not only our parents but also to all other members of the family. Unconsciously we develop their values and start thinking and behaving like them. But as we grow older, some of these values may change and we amy find ourselves with some other values that are not the same with the other members of the family.

GROWING AS A FILIPINO

Being a Filipino is just like entering the gate of having a responsible citizenship. He is performing a dual action: that of an individual member of his family and that of active citizen of his community. His concern to his environment keeps on growing. He becomes aware of many things happening aroud. With his inborn potentials, he is gradually assuming he's role as a concerned member of a larger community- his country.

That Filipino is YOU.

You should discover what values as a Filipino to cherish; which of our cultural values should be nurtured or nourished and which of them should be modified or change to deal effectively with others. As you know not all Filipino traits are enriching. You should know what is to accept and what is to disregard.

Searching for the real marks of a Filipino will be a challenge a joy. A journey to a legacy for our forefathers will enrich your capabilities and will direct to the traits worth appreciating and emulating . With an open mind to other influences, you will become a better person. You will realize that a love of country means being conscious to other's welfare, as well as respectful to other's rights and existing laws in the land.
Either as a leader or a member of a group, the learning encounters are directed to bring about the best qualities of Filipino to you.

There are times when people feel a need to leave their native town or city, to go to some place where “the grass looks greener.” But, once the spirit of wanderlust has passed, they get lonely again. They are starting to think of homes and their loved ones and other things left behind. They begin to feel that “there can be no place like home.”
Have you ever stopped thinking of what you own as a Filipino- your country and countrymen, the vast fields in the countryside. The mountains the rivers and the beauties of nature around. Have you told yourself that these are all yours because you are Filipinos? How do you show appreciation for your being a Filipino ?

QUALITY EDUCATION.......IS IT POSSIBLE FOR PUBLIC SCHOOLS?

As a former student of three public schools, I have already compared all the similarities in the way they handle their students and the differences from private school. Almost all of the students lied at the back of the question, “Why is our education like this? Why private schools are more advanced than us?”. But what is really the great question is that “do public school still has the chance to have the so-called QUALITY EDUCATION?”

As I hopped from school to school (public schools), I have adjusted on their different rules but not their way of teaching and the treatment to the students because they are completely the same. During the third level of my elementary years, this happening is still very fresh to my memories; one of my classmates was pinched by my adviser for just in a very light cause of saying a single word. But what I remembered is that teachers can only scold their students and not to hurt them physically. And another memory happened in my school over there in Manila, I was really very shocked. Our school hours there are only three hours. YES, you heard it right, three hours!!! What can their students learn from that very short period of time?! Duh?! All subjects stunted in just a very short span of time?! What a school!!!! Base on those teachings and handlings I’ve stated, you yourself could imagine how ridiculous the educations on these schools are. Where are they putting those money from the people given for the youth’s proper education? Some managers corrupt the money education? Some managers corrupt the money just to spend for silly and useless things just to be satisfied from their wants! But what they aren’t realizing is that they are not just affecting the life of the youth but also their beloved ones especially their kids, because they couldn’t suffer all those difficult problems because their generation had past and what generation is affected is our generation. And another problem are the teachers. Some teachers are not very well-informed and they are sometimes corrected with their students. What education could they give their students, if they themselves don’t know and don’t master their lesson to teach. Isn’t it very ashaming?

But take note these schools are just few from the thousands and thousands of schools here in the Philippines. Those problems of mine are just from three schools, what more in some other schools?! Here in Philippines, the most important attainment is EDUCATION, but look at the kind of education they are giving us? They always say that they want “progress” in our country, well, the youth is the future, and what can they expect from the youth if they aren’t giving importance to our education. If there would be NO YOUTH, NO TOMORROW; NO TOMORROW; NO WORLD.
